Synopsis

Aura is strikingly gorgeous but a bit odd.  Her connection with the spirit realm can seem more real to her than people in the "here and now," so she keeps her distance from most human beings.  When her boyfriend ends their relationship, her mother advises her to keep "otherworldly" thoughts to herself, to get away from the superficiality of the city and move somewhere beautiful.

She is contacted in dreamtime by a being that identifies himself as the Higher Self of a superstar action hero, Blade Rivers. The being tells her that if she doesn't give a message to Blade by the end of the month, that he will die.  She refuses, saying that she's giving up being a psychic, and is moving to Maui, Hawaii. Once in Maui, she is in a bar, when who should walk in but Blade Rivers. She is aghast.  He notices her but she leaves the bar immediately.

She continues to run into Blade all over the island: at work, on a run, and other places.  Finally at a diner, they have short, witty exchange. In the next moment, she wakes up in Blade’s hotel room with no idea how she's gotten there.  She leaves before he can wake up, embarrassed that everyone but she seems to know what happened.  At her place, she takes a shower and goes into meditation, trying to remember. Images flash in her mind-- laughter, waves, sand, her nails digging into his back, both she and Blade tied up with a knife pointing at his throat. She shakes the images away, takes some aspirin and pulls the covers over her head.

In dreamtime the being contacts her again - he is emphatic, that "We put him in your life for a reason; now tell him."  She tries to refuse, but the being continues, insisting she will keep on running into him until she gives him the message.  She concedes and tries to visit Blade’s hotel room, but is blocked by Security - Blade isn’t receiving visitors.

Now on her mission, she tries to visit his movie set, but Blade acts like he doesn’t know her, and just signs an autograph.  She is ushered away, but when she reads the autograph, she sees a cryptic note written there: “Ulalena 8.” Ulalena turns out to be theatrical show that depicts Hawaii's history. She goes to the eight o'clock showing but he is nowhere in sight. When the lights dim, a hand grabs her -- it is Blade. He drags her out of the theater.

Their chemistry is undeniable. He takes her on his motorcycle to a waterfall, where he makes a pass, but she blocks him with a swift Tai Chi defense.  He laughs and apologizes for the charade on the set - explaining that his PR company is trying to associate him with his female co-star, rather than her, an outsider. When he tries to kiss her, she blocks him again. They spar, and are equally matched. He tells her that she is very different than the other night; she lets him know that she has no memory of their encounter. They start to get to know one another all over again, when suddenly Blade gets a sharp pain down his arm. At this moment they see a dark silhouette watching them, moving through the shadows so they leave.

The man from the shadows, who looks similar to Blade, goes back to his shack in the jungle where he performs some mysterious rituals.

When Blade drops Aura off at her place, her desire to “not mess things up again” and his goodnight kiss prevent her from saying anything about the dream and the warning. The being contacts her again in her sleep. He says that now her life is in danger, as well; she has the same blockage on the left side of her body as Blade and their fates are entwined.

Security tightens, and she has more trouble getting to Blade. She spies on him, and Security confronts her, feeling she is a true threat. She sees Blade out on the town with the media-darling actress. She starts toward him and his Security stops her again. This time she tells them that "Blade has a blockage on the left side of his body and if she doesn't tell him by the end of the month he will die". Of course they act like she's crazy, and now they amp-up security even more on Blade.

In desperation, she spies on the Security team, and in the process finds out that Blade has a jealous brother on the island, that Security has been watching out for, as well. She goes to see the brother, Remi, and they form an immediate kinship.  He doesn’t seem to be the threat that Security believes. Remi is actually trying to contact his brother using Hawaiian rituals, but his brother knows this and has disconnected with his Higher Self on purpose, so Remi can't connect with him. Unbeknownst to Blade, Remi has been watching over Blade to keep him from harm.

Aura and Remi conspire to contact Blade. They decide to show themselves out in public as an item to make him jealous. It works: Blade contacts her, but only to say that Remi is not to be trusted – and she still isn’t able to give him the message.

Will Aura find out who is out to get them? Will she and Blade survive the month? Who will she trust: Blade, her dream man with a past, or his brother: who is ostracized from society, but with whom she can be completely herself?

The twists and turns of the family dynamics, the movie within the movie, and the love triangle all mix together to make an exciting action/mystery/romance that will leave audiences talking.
